Of The City
Of The City was a high profile series of debates intended to bring back political discussion back into the public forum in which academics could share a platform with other writers, thinkers, urban professionals, cultural producers – and where were accessible to audiences concerned with the future direction of Manchester and other cities. The seminars were open to anyone who lived, worked or interacted with the city in any way and had an opinion.
A mix of straight presentations, debate and performances as well as national and international speakers, the emphasis of the series was on urban cultures but covered a wide range of subjects.Nine Lives Productions undertook all aspects of event management from marketing and publicity, booking speakers, travel and accommodation, delegate registration and evaluation.
